About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Client Services and Business Development, the successful Director New Business Development will champion the growth of OSL’s outsourced sales solutions.  Working as the key driver of new opportunities, your networking, business development, relationship building, and closing skills will demonstrate and promote OSL’s culture and values.  You will facilitate the growth of OSL’s presence across the United States.

 

We’re seeking a qualified Director of New Business Development, to extend our global reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and deliver new business. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.

 

Role is remote in USA: candidate can be based anywhere in USA.

 

Industry focus and experience should include:

  • Home Improvement Retail and Power Tools
  • Consumer Electronics and Appliances
  • Financial Institutions (Credit Card and Personal Banking) 

Responsibilities:

You will research the industry and potential, develop a pipeline of prospects, source and develop relationships with potential clients and partners with our operational leaders to develop successful proposals for new business. You will take an active part in developing new service offerings and focus on building lasting relationships with our current and prospective partners. Some accountabilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for the lead generation of new client opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline
  • Evaluate existing client referral base to identify opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of an annual business development plan
  • Deliver on defined sales targets for OSL’s outsourced sales solutions
  • Develop account plans for all new and existing clients to chart your business development goals including identification, prospect qualification, proposal development, proposal delivery and contract negotiation
  • Lead all new business development proposals and liaise with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Recruiting and Human Resources throughout the solution development process
  • Establish and maintain solid and mutually beneficial business relationships resulting in highest levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention, and future business growth plans
  • Evaluate RFP business opportunities, determine feasibility and craft a response on behalf of OSL where suitable
  • Maintain awareness of industry, competition and market conditions and leverage current client relationships to develop new business opportunities
  • Set clear customers’ expectations and seamlessly hand off new business to the project management team

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience selling to large corporate clients and possession of a superior network
  • Experience selling outsourced sales and labour solutions is ideal
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in understanding financial operating statements and developing business cases
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel
